Leadership growth.  All cadets will get the chance to lead other cadets and experience the thrill and headaches of ‘being in charge’.  Corps responsibilities and public speaking are big parts of this experience. Our Leaders currently in the corps are:

Kitty Hawk Air Society Commander:  Shay Quayle

Recognition. Awards are given for individual and group superior performance. These include Cadet of the Semester, and Flight of the Semester. There are also dozens of opportunities to earn achievement ribbons for wear on the air force service dress uniform.

There are many  leadership positions and opportunities like planning teams, promotions, public affairs, community service teams, team commanders, and more.  Uniform day is Thursday (unless notified of an exception).  Uniform wear is mandatory.

Uniform Wear: 

• Class A - Service Dress - Full Blue uniform
• Class B - Light blue shirt, dark blue pants.  With or without tie.  With or without blue zip up jacket
• Class C - ABU - Air Battle Uniform (Camouflage)​

Cadets are issued Air Force uniforms at no cost.  They are required to wear their uniform once each week, usually on Wednesday.
